Mammographic QA – RANZCR QA Program

In 1996  Medical Imaging Technologies entered into an arrangement to supply College members with the recommended  Mammo QA Phantom. We undertook to source and supply the Phantoms at the lowest possible price which we have done for the last 7 or more years.  Since then we have added other instruments and components for the expanded RANZCR Mammo QA Program, and continued our commitment to maintaining the lowest possible pricing.

TEST PHANTOMS

The RANZCR has selected the Nuclear Associates model 18-220 and the RMI 156 Phantoms as the standard test unit.  These two units are manufactured by separate organizations to identical specifications and have been tested locally for compliance.

Each Phantom is delivered with a test film marked with the Phantom serial number, a magnifier and a contrast disk of 2mm acrylic. This Phantom offers a very sensitive test for your mammo system performance, and quickly identifies a subtle shift in ‘system’ performance.

TEST MESH

The industry standard test instrument  is X-Rite, available in a number of different models usually held in our stock
